Position Purpose:

· This position is directly responsible for all RF Engineering
activities related to deployment and support of Bakrie CDMA network in Jakarta,
· This position is a Team Leader of a RF Engineering team (including
subcontractors) responsible for design , optimisation , monitoring , evaluating and maintaining the progress of network deployment while meeting the contractual performance Indicators (KPI's) at the completion of
each network expansion phase of the Jakarta CDMA network and as specified
in the deployment contracts ,
· This position is Prime Customer Interface for all aspects related to
the RF Engineering such as RF planning and design , RF site selection , RF optimisation and RF acceptance ,
· Interface with global and regional Core Engineering groups for
support on all technical and project issues.


Primary Responsibilities:

· Responsible for RF design , site selection approval ,RF optimisation
and RF acceptance to ensure agreed performance quality of the network during the deployment phases and successful customer acceptance of each RF site and entire network upon completion of each deployment phase ,
· Responsible for team technical supervision and guidance , resource
allocation and management within set budgets ,
· This position is the prime internal and external RF engineering
escalation point, assumes leading role and drive resolutions to RF related problems of major customer dissatisfaction,
· Provide support for RF Engineering Pre-Sales activities,
· Work towards improving the functionality of the RF team by
contributing to the planning, developing and implementing short and long term engineering strategies,
· Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to ensure quality
of engineering services , customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies


Key Relationships:

· Interfaces at a technical level to :
- Network Engineering Group
- Regional RF Engineering Groups
- Project Management
- Product Management
- Account Team
- Field Support and Acceptance

· Interfaces to the customer :

- RF Planning Group
- RF Network Operation Group


Decision Making Authority:

· Work independently and take on a leadership role.
· Ability to work in with minimal management supervision.
· Ability to plan, delegate, track, prioritise and schedule self and
others subject to final approval of manager.
· Define and justify decision, making criteria.
· Make technical and process recommendations.
· Ensures that the RF engineering processes developed for different
customers are followed and if necessary takes corrective actions.



Problem Solving Responsibility:

· Provides directions to other staff members and contractors on
resolution of specific RF engineering problems.
· Identifies potential problem areas and recommends/implements actions
to resolve them.
· Innovative technical and process solutions, resolution of project
issues.
· Solve complex problems requiring in-depth analysis and co-operation
with other groups.



Other Skills/Requirements/Product Knowledge:

· Demonstrated leadership/management skills.
· Able to work under minimal supervision.
· Good interpersonal communication skills.
· Pleasant personality and proven verbal and written skills.
· Demonstrated Wireless Engineering background
· CDMA specific technology and product knowledge

Formal Education and Training:

· University Engineering degree in Electronics, Communications, or
equivalent industry experience.


Experience

· Minimum 3-5 years experience in the telecommunications industry.
· Two to three years experience in cellular engineering, specifically
CDMA RF design and CDMA RF optimisation.
· A demonstrated technical competency in CDMA technology and Nortel
CDMA products is preferred.
· Managing customer relationships in a wireless implementation
environment
Staff mentoring and team leadership experience is highly desirable.

Position 1:
Position Title: Senior/RF Engineer - CDMA
Location: Jakarta
Reports to: Manager - Engineering, Indonesia

Position Purpose:

• Lead a team of RF Engineers (local and subcontractor) to monitor, evaluate and maintain the progress of deployment while meeting the contractual performance guarantee of the Jakarta CDMA network.
• Prime Engineer responsible for the design and deployment of the CDMA networks and reporting to local customer
• Primary interface with local customer engineering groups on design and optimisation issues.

Telecommunication Engineer Leader (Indonesia)
Location: Indonesia / Jakarta

This position is responsible for management and delivery of engineering services to new & existing customer networks in Indonesia. The scope of this position includes network design services including RF (radio frequency) access network, network deployment engineering services, RF optimisation and acceptance, network integration support, delivery of managed services to customer networks.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to -

• Accountable for account basis quality post sales engineering deliverables, drive result to meet customer expectation and project needs
• Work closely with sales/marketing and readiness team providing professional technical support to meet customer requirements and help account team to win new business
• Build up service readiness in the team and work closely with PM, I&C and GNTS to complete project deployment on time within budget and with required level of quality
• Drive a self-sufficient, cost effective, highly customer oriented & profitable engineering team
• Develop and motivate individual accountability and expertise in line with potential sales opportunity and contractual deliverables
• Development of processes to streamline and improve delivery of engineering services, Engineering budget management
  

In addition to demonstrated team leadership skills , the candidate should be able to demonstrate skills as to the dimensioning of the access and core network. Appreciation of RF design would be a bonus

CDMA Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer

Job Level:
Experienced (Non-Manager)

The position of the CDMA Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer will provide direct RF Engineering support to the rapidly expending Bakrie CDMA network. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to -

• Responsible for engineering associated with the RF design, acceptance, optimisation and performance management activities to meet customer requirements, specifically :
  - Performing radio propagation modelling and prediction to determine cell site location and RF configuration
  - Forecasting RF capacity requirements
  - Collecting drive test data and system logs, post processing data, analysing data and optimising network to ensure system performance
• Provide support to Project Management and Engineering teams on issues related to network implementation
• Interface with Bakrie RF Engineering groups on RF network design and optimisation activities
• Assist with the preparation of weekly progress and performance reports
• Provide high level support on all RF Engineering activities.
• Responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the RF parameters in the BSC datafill, such that the recommended and latest values are used in the system.
• Ensure that the CDMA RF Engineering guidelines and processes are followed and are consistent.
• Responsible for the RF network optimisation process and the preparation of all the deliverable documents.
• Responsible for the RF acceptance process and the preparation of all the deliverable documents.
• Provide resolutions to problems of major customer dissatisfaction.
